Come to this class and learn to machine sew, or if you already know how to sew, expand your design and construction skills! You will have the chance to make garments from patterns or upcycle thrift store finds.
- Please bring whatever garments you'd like to upcycle. All other supplies will be provided.
Christina Patzman
Christina Patzman comes from a long line of seamstresses and jokes that she learned how to sew in her mother's womb. Her grandmother was a dressmaker for 40 years and taught Christina clothing design and sewing with a hands-on and practical approach. Christina started making clothing while in junior high and continued designing and sewing throughout high school. She studied apparel design in college – receiving a BA in Apparel Design in 1991. Christina has had several lines of clothing that have sold both locally and nationally. She has been teaching sewing classes since 2008, and especially loves helping students with garment design and construction.
