Participants will learn about wetland types, locations and
characteristics in this engaging teacher workshop. Common plant and animal species will be discussed, along with live animal demonstrations of local wetland animals. An outdoor nature walk to APEC’s salt marsh and pond will establish connections between classroom discussion and real life experiences. The
importance of understanding current environmental issues and human impact will also be part of the program. A light breakfast will be served.
