January 2017 Sky Highlights
The January skies offer a fantastic array of astronomical objects for all to see. The great constellation of Orion offers observation of the Orion Nebula, red supergiant star Betelgeuse, and the hot burning blue giant star Rigel. The brightest star all year in the night sky Sirius may also be visible as well as Venus and Mars.
