April Sky Highlights
On April evenings the most famous star pattern in the northeast, the Big Dipper, is located in the evening sky which points to the North Star Polaris the pole star. The Big Dipper's handle points to the red giant star Arcturus in the constellation, Bootes, and extends to the blue giant star Spica in the constellation Virgo which consists of many galaxies outside of the Milky Way. The planet Jupiter will rise in the constellation of Virgo the largest planet in the solar system with its 4 Galilean moon's.
