Why do insects spark children’s curiosity? Teachers will learn about the important role butterflies, bees and insects play in nature. An engaging presentation, interactive activities and fun lesson ideas will be shared. Live animal demonstrations provide close-up discovery of these interesting invertebrates. An exciting walk to our local pond will inspire nature lovers of all ages! Participants will be given two butterfly larvae and a milkweed plant to share a great learning experience with their students. Light breakfast of home-baked breads, coffee, tea and fruit will be provided.
