August Sky Highlights
The summer skies present the summer triangle of Vega, Deneb, & Altair. We can view the Ring Nebula in the constellation Lyra. The two giant planets Jupiter and its 4 moons and Saturn with its fantastic ring system can be seen. The best sight of all is this is the night for the best meteor shower of the year called the Perseids. You should be able to see many meteors in the sky with your naked eye.
