Come gain key animal care and science skills from a licensed Veterinarian Technician. Students will get to work with the Vet Tech one on one using tools and techniques to perform teddy bear surgeries and in-depth animal examinations. We’ll trouble shoot various animal emergencies and conditions, going beyond the standard check-up to emergency care. Whether you are an aspiring Doctor, Nurse, Vet, or Vet Tech, or you just love animals and science, you will leave this program with many practical animal care know-hows. Limited to 10 participants.

**Prerequisite Requirement: Participation in any prior Animal Care and Science program (Animal Care Trainee, Advanced Animal Care Trainee, Vet Tech 101, or Vet Tech 201) at APEC or the volunteer program is required to qualify for the Animal Care and Science Practicum (Please do not register if you have not participated in one or more of these programs; contact Katie at Ext. 202 for further assistance).
