Participants are welcome to bring their own telescopes and binoculars. Handout information packet is included. Limited to 15 participants. (although this is an adult workshop, children ages 9 and up are welcome to register as long as they are accompanied by a participating adult).

Highlights for the June skies
In the June skies is the peak month for the largest planet in the solar system Jupiter because it is closest to the Earth, and be high in the sky for all to view its belts and zones and the 4 Galalean moons. We will observe the red giant star Arcturus in the constellation Bootes and we should begin to see the brilliant first summer star Vega, and the best double star in Cygnus Albireo. We should be able to see the moon and all its craters as well.
