The Chasewood Robotics Academy is a comprehensive before/after school program where children learn to design, build, and program robots.

Using a creative educational approach that supports Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM), this class is led by Chasewood Learning’s instructors in a fun, engaging and dynamic activities.

Students use the LEGO Mindstorms EV3 robot system, learning how to program a robot to maneuver by controlling motors; read sensors such as light sensors, ultrasonic sensors and push buttons; manipulate objects using a robotic arm; programming techniques such as switch statements, loops, and parallel programing; advanced topics such as messaging, Bluetooth communication, color sensing… and more!

  • Students will only be allowed ONE makeup class, to be arranged with the class instructor.

  • Space in this class is limited, and is first come, first serve. Due to this, we cannot guarantee a space for a sibling of a student who makes it into the roster. If spaces become available, they will be offered to those on the waitlist, in order of registration.
