“He's Got a Way about Him . . . And We Know What It Is”
Class | Registration opens 8/21/2026 8:58 AM EDT
Many artists (though not always men, despite the title) have a distinctive style or use a unique set of specific techniques that make their work easily recognizable to an informed viewer. Here’s a chance to analyze works of art by well-known artists from many different eras, discuss how artists develop a consistent style and why they did that, and distinguish their works from those of their contemporaries.
Carol Schwartz, Ph.D., loves to learn and finds it more fun to learn with others. She has taught students from junior high through graduate school, both online and face-to-face. After retiring from Lourdes University, Dr. Schwartz became a Docent at the Toledo Museum of Art, which allows her to combine her appreciation for art with a historical background to create a fuller perspective.
*** NOTE: This class will be conducted on Zoom if weather conditions deem it necessary.
