Handbound Journal Workshop
Class | Registration opens 8/21/2026 8:58 AM EDT
Leah Lee BIO COMING SOON. Journaling is an enriching experience. It doesn't matter if your chosen methods are traditional or avant garde. Taking the time to journal has shown to help with stress, memory, mood, and improve mental health. Binding your own journals allows for an even more expressive experience when you can include your favorite papers, recycle greeting cards, include keepsakes, and size the book to your personal preferences. This workshop will discuss binding your own journals, junk/ unique journals, altered books, and art journaling.
Digging through your recycle bin to contribute cardboard from cereal boxes and similar packaging is ideal for this project. The leftovers of old notepads, the last few pages of a spiral notebook or legal pad, saved gift bags/ tissue paper/ gift wrap, brown paper bags/ sacks/ packaging material, are all great additions.
The following supplies will be provided: glue sticks, tapestry needles, embroidery floss, scissors, paper clips, and instructional/inspirational handouts.
