Garlic Mustard Pulling

Volunteer Opportunity | Registration opens 5/15/2026 8:58 AM EDT

Invasive species like garlic mustard can spread quickly and crowd out the native plants that make our forests healthy and vibrant—but together, we can make a real difference! On the campus of the Sisters of St. Francis, our grounds team is taking action by hand-pulling garlic mustard to help restore balance and protect our local ecosystem. We’d love for you to join us for this hands-on, rewarding volunteer experience! It’s a great way to spend time outdoors, connect with others, and directly support the health of our forest. Just bring a pair of gloves if you’d like, and wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing you don’t mind getting a little dirty.

If the weather doesn’t cooperate, no worries—we’ll send out an email ahead of time with updates and a rain date.
Come be part of the effort to protect and restore our natural spaces—every plant pulled makes a difference!
