The Evolution of Writing - From Cave Drawings to Alphabets (Spartan Spotlight)

Course | Registration opens 5/14/2026 8:00 AM EDT

Writing is perhaps mankind’s greatest invention. It made possible a vastly more complete understanding of history. Course participants will learn about writing types and how they evolved from great ancient peoples such as the Phoenicians, Greeks, Etruscans, Romans, and Chinese. An in-class exercise will reinforce material covered.
