Becoming a Dementia Friend in Pennsylvania is a simple yet impactful way to increase awareness and understanding of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. Through this brief course, participants learn what it’s like for individuals with dementia and gain practical tips to better support, include, and advocate for those affected in their communities.

Erin Nelson

Erin Nelson is the director of memory support at Cross Keys Village. She is a Licensed Social Worker, Certified Dementia Practitioner, a trained End of Life Death Doula, and Certified Nursing Assistant. Nelson received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Millersville University. She is a Champion for Dementia Friends of York and Adams County.
