Canasta is a partnership rummy-style card game using two full decks and four jokers, with the primary goal of scoring 5,000 points. Players form “melds” (sets of 3+ cards of the same rank) to create a “canasta”—a set of seven or more cards—which are required to “go out” and end the round. Many times there are “house rules” which add variations to the game! There are many descriptions and videos on YouTube to learn the game.
