Death Ritual Changes As You Move Between Cultures
Course | Registration opens 8/3/2026 8:00 AM EDT
How a people treat the dead tell us much about their lives and beliefs about the afterlife. Some societies and religions have developed very interesting traditions and techniques, which can seem strange and even bizarre to us. Those differences can spur us to think about why we have the funerals and burials we currently use. Are there changes which could make our customs better, given the economic and environmental pressures we now face? Join Marc Benton to discover how unfamiliar practices can improve how we ourselves think about life and death in our own culture.
