Let's Cook Mediterranean Demonstration

Join us for Let’s Cook Mediterranean, a demonstration-based class where you will explore the foundational foods of the Mediterranean diet, including whole grains, vegetables, beans, fruits, nuts, seeds, and healthy fats. This workshop is perfect for anyone interested in learning about the healthful Mediterranean way of eating, learning easy cooking techniques, and discovering new recipes. Participants will learn the basics of the Mediterranean diet, how to prepare authentic Mediterranean dishes, practical shopping tips, and simple cooking methods and receive a sample of all recipes prepared.
Karen Carrier
Karen Carrier is a Penn State Extension educator based in York County offering educational workshops on a variety of health and wellness topics. She is a graduate of Messiah University with a bachelor of science degree in nutrition and dietetics. Carrier has provided community-based nutrition education for more than twenty years, starting her career with the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program before transitioning to her current role as an Extension educator.
Sarah Davis
Sarah Davis is a Penn State Extension educator based in Adams County and she also covers surrounding counties. She is a graduate of Messiah University with a degree in FCS education and Penn West University with a masters in nutrition and health and wellness coaching. Prior to working at extension, she taught FCS with a focus in culinary at Mechanicsburg Senior High for six years. Davis teaches community education
courses for the Food Safety and Quality team as well as Health and Wellness.
