Local Tour | Registration opens 8/3/2026 8:00 AM EDT

The York County Master Gardeners maintain a fifty-bed demonstration garden at John Rudy Park that includes vegetables, brambles, fruit trees, native plant gardens, a children's garden, a variety of flower gardens, and even an educational compost site. Learn about the history of how the demonstration gardens came to be and take part in mini-lessons at various garden beds to dive deeper into a variety of gardening topics. Using the demonstration gardens as a living classroom, students will learn about native plants, unique edible crops that can easily be grown at home, herbs, and composting. This is a one-sneaker tour.

THIS COURSE WILL BE HELD AT 400 MUNDIS RACE ROAD, YORK, PA 17406, USE PARKING SPACES IN FRONT OF THE BARN OR GRAVEL PARKING LOT NEXT TO THE RED BARN.
