A Mute Quadriplegic Speaks: Why I Get Up in the Morning

Course | Registration opens 8/3/2026 8:00 AM EDT

Henry Evans will provide a description of his severe disability and illustrate how, with the support of his wife, Jane, he has found a reason to look forward to getting up every morning. This course will include a video of Henry’s journey, a recent CBS Sunday Morning update, a song that he wrote about Jane, a “caregiver’s perspective” presentation by Jane, and conclude with a Q&A session.

Henry and Jane Evans

Henry and Jane Evans have spoken all over the world, given many interviews, and filmed many interviews about how they have built a rewarding life despite Henry's devastating stroke twenty-five years ago and about how they reflect their motto, "You have nothing to say about the cards you are dealt in life, but everything to say about how you play them."
