This course is an informative and personal presentation that explores the realities of becoming a living kidney donor. Drawing from firsthand experience, the instructor covers the donation process, medical considerations, common myths and misconceptions, recovery, long-term health, and the emotional impact of donation. Attendees will gain a clearer understanding of how living donation works, who may qualify, and how one person’s decision can profoundly change lives.

Bruce Hanley

Bruce Haney is a living kidney donor who donated at 62 years old. He is now retired and living in York County. As a National Kidney Foundation volunteer, he mentors individuals in the process of evaluation and possible eventual donation.
