Ever-Changing York's Continental Square Stands Tall in the Middle of History
Course | Registration opens 8/3/2026 8:00 AM EDT
York's Continental Square has been in the center of things since before the mid-1750s when the York County Court House went up in its middle. The square was called Centre Square until it gained its current name in time for the 150th anniversary of the Articles of Confederation in 1927. For centuries it served as York County's heart. Jim McClure ties this presentation into America 250, a moment that will extend two years as York County celebrates the 250th anniversaries of the Declaration of Independence and the adoption of the Articles of Confederation.
