Question, Persuade, and Refer (QPR) is a suicide prevention training that anyone can take. The certified trainer teaches how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help.
Cindy Richard
Cindy Richard, CO-founder and Director of Suicide Prevention of York and a retired social worker. She holds a BSW degree and a Masters in Community Counseling. She holds many suicide prevention certifications. Cindy is a certified QPR Instructor and QPR Pathfinder. Currently, she is teaching two youth suicide prevention online courses, that she designed for McDaniel College, to provide training for Maryland school counselors.
