Wives and Daughters and the Founding Fathers
Course | Registration opens 8/3/2026 8:00 AM EDT
This course is about people, politics, and the war that was on our doorstep. All thirteen colonies were being taxed an outrageous tax on British goods. Massive protests and boycotts broke out in every port of call on the east coast. King George was furious. He sent troops to Boston, ready for war! This was a wake-up call to unite the thirteen colonies. The Founding Fathers met quickly, holding a meeting in Philadelphia to vote for a Declaration of Independence, and the rest is history! This course will show that family matters!
