Course Description

The Native American boarding school era is an often-overlooked period of American history, yet it has a deep connection to the Susquehanna Valley. Join WGAL News 8 anchor Matt Barcaro as he screens his documentary, The Lost Children of Carlisle, and hosts a question-and-answer session about the project.

Matt Barcaro

Matt Barcaro is the co-anchor of WGAL News 8 Today weekday mornings from 4:30 to 7:00 a.m. His work has earned him several PA Association of Broadcasters Awards, Mid-Atlantic Regional Emmy Awards, and Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards. He has led the production of several documentary specials for WGAL, including topics like youth homelessness, second chances for juvenile lifers, and the history of Native American boarding schools.
