Writing Your Memoir

Many people are natural writers or years-long journalers, but what does it mean to write your memoir for real readers? Through this guided workshop, you will start or continue writing your memoir for an audience. We will practice various techniques in brainstorming, organizing, and creative non-fiction. You will leave this workshop excited to continue writing your memoir for yourself, your family, or publication.
Please bring a laptop or notebook to class.
Mika Troutman
Mika Troutman earned her Ph.D. in English education from the University of Maryland. With two decades of experience in higher education, she taught at York College of Pennsylvania, Loyola University Maryland in Baltimore, and Wesley College in Dover, Delaware, and most recently, taught at Stevenson University. Troutman has published her writing, including two textbooks on college-level writing. She now enjoys creative writing and reading.
