Participants will gain knowledge of how York County trash is used as fuel to create electricity by taking a brief tour of the York County Resource Recovery Center owned by YCSWA. The tour will be led by a member of the YCSWA staff. Those with a pacemaker will have to avoid the turbine/generator room for safety reasons.

The facility is located at 2651 Blackbridge Rd, York, PA, 17406. Go through the main gate and bypass the Scalehouse to the Education Center to park and enter the Education Center to begin the tour. This is a two-sneaker tour.
