The Bible & Climate Change

Climate change is widely regarded as the most critical threat to humanity, affecting global public health, economic stability, and ecosystems. Over 97% of peer-reviewed scientific literature supports this consensus, as do most scientific and health organizations. Yet many Christians in the U.S. deny climate change and hold opposing views. We will examine the biblical misinterpretations that fuel this skepticism and explore the Bible’s mandate for creation care (Christian environmentalism) to overcome denial.
Mitchell Hescox
Rev. Mitch Hescox, President Emeritus of Evangelical Environmental Network, speaks on creation care and on children-focused environmental health education and policy. He co-authored Caring for Creation: The Evangelicals' Guide to Climate Change and other publications. He testified before Congress and presented at the White House, the Vatican, and elsewhere. Rev. Hescox served on advisory councils for the EPA, PA DEP, and scientific academies.
