Have you ever wondered how the internet works? Why and how it came into existence? This course explains how the internet as we know it today evolved from telephone lines and modems, to how it functions to support things like webpages, online banking, Facebook, online searching, email, etc. How does it recover if parts of it fail? What are the strengths and weaknesses? And where is it heading? No technical background is needed!

Jim Staub retired from the IT field in 2018 after 35 years. His technical focus areas included application programming, database programming/administration, and security management. His business focus areas were warehousing, order picking/shipping, inventory control, and back-end web programming. Current interests include Qigong, spirituality in today’s world, including meditation and breath-work, photography, and drag racing.
