Guide to Local Rail Trail

Learn about the location, history, and essential facts of some nearby rail trails in Pennsylvania and Maryland. What's the surface like, how long is it, and are there any places to eat or shop nearby? We will also discuss where to get additional information about the trails we cover during the lecture and more than 2,000 others across the country.
Carl Knoch
After nearly 30 years in marketing and marketing research Carl Knoch found his passion when he joined the York County Rail Trail Authority as a volunteer director in 1998. In April of 2006 he joined the staff of the Northeast Regional office of the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy as manger of trail development. He earned a BS in marketing and an MBA from Penn State. Knoch and his wife Anne reside in New Freedom, PA with their golden retriever Macey.
