Clouds, Weather, Climate and El Nino

We all talk about the weather, and this is the chance to learn some of the underlying science. Clouds and weather are short-term phenomenon. Climate is long-term. We will learn about our Pennsylvania climate and the forces that affect it. El Nino is a hot topic this year and a major research initiative among climate scientists. We will learn about the state of our understanding.
Jeff Kuhn
Jeff was born in York, PA, and still lives in York County, along the Susquehanna River. He taught biology and ecology for 25 years at York Suburban High School and environmental science as an adjunct at Penn State York for half a dozen years. Kuhn holds a Ph.D. in ecology from Penn State. He spends two months on the road each year gathering material for more LLI classes focusing mostly on natural history and American Indian culture.
