Ft. Robinson, Nebraska, at the Heart of the Indian Crisis in the West

Of all the military forts built in the West in the 1800s this one has the most profound tales to tell. Crazy Horse died here and most of the warriors of the Northern Cheyenne died trying to escape from here. The final stories of the free-ranging Plains Indians were written here. Although Jeff Kuhn seems to be becoming an historian, he is first an ecologist, and we will also enjoy discussing the diverse land and wildlife of Northwest Nebraska.
Jeff Kuhn
Jeff was born in York, PA, and still lives in York County, along the Susquehanna River. He taught biology and ecology for 25 years at York Suburban High School and environmental science as an adjunct at Penn State York for half a dozen years. Kuhn holds a Ph.D. in ecology from Penn State. He spends two months on the road each year gathering material for more LLI classes focusing mostly on natural history and American Indian culture.
