My, How She's Changed! The Metamorphosis of Women in Modern Art

Course | Registration opens 12/7/2026 8:00 AM EDT

"Why can't the artist just paint a nice scene?" "But it doesn't look like her..." "How can something so ugly be art?" If these are your thoughts as you're looking at a piece of modern art, you are not alone! Many people wish they knew more about modern art. This course is first in a set of four stand-alone sessions that will help you see the big picture and appreciate modern and contemporary art. In this class, we will trace progressive modern art movements by showing how women have been portrayed through history. You will be amazed at how she has changed over the years!
