Tales of Early York County Airports
Course | Registration opens 2/1/2027 8:00 AM EDT
Tales of flight are shared via a historical exploration of early airports in York County that existed from 1914 until 1960. The focus is on airports supporting airplanes that regularly carried paying passengers or airports that had some sort of special interest story; such as the first male and first female from York County that were passengers. Discover the stories of marriages in flights plus the annual arrival of Santa via airplane. Tales of other famous visitors are also shared, such as why Amelia Earhart and Charles Lindbergh flew into York County airports.
