Quentin Fisher runs a violin shop in York, PA that specializes in hand made instruments and violin family repairs. Participants will tour the violin shop and get a behind the scenes look at the violinmaking process. We will discuss tools and techniques that are used by modern luthiers, as well as the history of violinmaking and acoustical properties of string instruments. There will be an opportunity to visit their show room and try out instruments, or hear them played. The shop is located at 122 Hill Street, York, PA 17403. Park in the lot in front of the shop entrance or on the street.
