Christmas Trees from Seed to Your Home

We will be meeting out at one of our farms to demonstrate planting, care of, and harvesting of the Christmas trees, showing all stages of the cycle. The twelve-year process will be shown. Sample seedlings will be given out at the end of the session. Snacks will be provided. The farm is located at 2305 Lemon Street, York, PA 17408. Parking info will be provided directly to the attendees.
Gerrit Strathmeyer
Gerrit Strathmeyer II is the fifth generation Christmas tree grower. Gerrit graduated from Penn State University majoring in agri-business management. He has recently taken over the managing of the business and oversees seventy plus employees.
Robin Gross
Robin Gross earned her degree in education from Shippensburg University. She has taught in the PA education system then transitioned to the computer industry working both in Pennsylvania and California. The last twenty-seven years have been devoted to the family business focusing on sales and the retail Christmas season. Gross has served on a variety of boards in different capacities including YCEA, Junior Achievement, Historic York, Distinguished Young Women, WBCO, and the PA Christmas Tree Growers Association.
