This workshop will explore basic one and two-point perspective in drawing as well as using sighting and a 'basic unit' for proportions. This workshop is for the artist struggling with buildings and their angles in an urban scene, and putting the figure correctly into urban settings. It is not a drafting class, but rather how an artist would approach and solve these common problems in their work.

  • Please bring--
  • -2B drawing pencils
  • -white vinyl eraser
  • -12" ruler
  • -9"x 12" or 11" x 14" drawing sketch pad
  • -photo references of buildings, architectural details, etc
  • -Canson Multi Media Drawing paper/ 9"x12' or 11"x 14"

Elayne Moseley graduated from Texas Christian University with a B.F.A. in Secondary Art Education and taught art full time for 5 years in the public schools in inner city Houston. She is now a professional artist who has exhibited in several galleries in the Denver area as well as in San Francisco and in juried shows in New York City and Chicago. She was an exhibitor at the 2006 Cherry Creek Art Festival. Two of her drawings have been published in a North Light book titled "Strokes of Genius 5: Design & Composition" and a third drawing is published in the "Strokes of Genius 7: Depth, Dimension, & Space". http://www.emoseleygallery.com
