Explore the abstract realm using oil pastels. Learn how to create luminous layers of light and color with this medium with a unique process developed by Marianne.

  • IMPORTANT NOTE: Holbein Oil Pastels and Rives BFK paper are essential to the enjoyment of this workshop. Substitute brands of oil pastel and/or paper do not work with this technique of building luminous layers of color.   • -Each color has 5 shades, #1 being the darkest, #5 being the lightest
  • -HANSA YELLOW 5A - #5; ANTIQUE YELLOW 5C - #1; ANTIQUE ORANGE 10A
  • -PERMANENT RED 13C - #1; CRIMSON 13F - #5; BLUE VIOLET 20C - #1
  • -RED VIOLET 20F - #3; WHITE 32A - #5; INDIGO 38E - #1; SKY BLUE 38J - #5
  • -COLBALT BLUE 38B - #1; FOGGY GREEN 45K - #5
  • -Rives BFK Printmaking paper: 2 sheets, 280 grams, 22x30 inches size, cream color preferable, white

A recent Colorado resident, she is a Mid-Atlantic Arts Foundation Fellowship recipient and has had work shown nationally including New York, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Denver, the Los Angeles area, and internationally in Scotland and Germany.
