Ages 9-12 | NEW! After School Sewing C
Children Course | This program has been canceled
If your child is interested in learning more about sewing on the
machine and construction techniques, these classes are a great way for them to gain more sewing knowledge while making some pretty darn cute stuff! They can join for one class session or continue, as classes are offered throughout the school year.
Kids, ages 9-12, will practice sewing machine skills while making their choice of a cute stuffy, decorative pillow, pj pants, simple garment, backpack or messenger bag. Practice a new sewing skill each week to expand your repertoire!
- All materials will be provided by the instructor and included in the material fee.
Christina Patzman
Christina Patzman comes from a long line of seamstresses and jokes that she learned how to sew in her mother's womb. Her grandmother was a dressmaker for 40 years and taught Christina clothing design and sewing with a hands-on and practical approach. Christina started making clothing while in junior high and continued designing and sewing throughout high school. She studied apparel design in college – receiving a BA in Apparel Design in 1991. Christina has had several lines of clothing that have sold both locally and nationally. She has been teaching sewing classes since 2008, and especially loves helping students with garment design and construction.
