We'd love it if you could participate in a very special summer camp with the Arts Students League of Denver (ASLD). As part of a collaboration with Inside the Orchestra and Lighthouse Writers, ASLD students will be creating the illustrations for an original children's picture book story, written by students from Lighthouse Writers. This will then be published, and set to music and performed by Inside the Orchestra as part of their 2022 performance season. Guided by graphic illustrator, Kristina Maldanado Badhand, you'll help create brand new illustrations and experience the illustration process from beginning to end, learning about what makes a great children's book along the way. When the book is published, you'll be credited as an author and have the opportunity to attend performances of your book and make other author appearances too.
