Create and design an original main character and their story. We will reference common structures found in myths all around the world to better improve your storytelling abilities. The first part of this class will focus on drawing or painting your character, the second on creating an outline of their journey through a storyboard. (This can pair with the Build Your World class, where we expand and explore the world that your main character inhabits.)

  • This camp will be held via Zoom. Meeting links will be sent out one hour prior to the start of camp.
  • Individual supply kits will be provided for each student, included in the materials fee.

Raised in Denver, Colorado, Karl began taking painting lessons from the Arts Students League of Denver at the age of nine. He later attended Denver School of the Arts, an arts magnet program from the start of middle school through to his senior year of high school. Upon graduation, he moved to Chicago where he attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts. It was during this time that he discovered his love for creating music and exploring the overlap between sound and visual media. http://karlorion.com/
