Narrative Collage Workshop (2-day workshop on two consecutive weekend days) What story do you want to tell? We’ll begin our first class with a series of small cut paper compositional studies to learn how art elements and design principles structure and impact visual narrative. We’ll cover various collage techniques and materials in the creation of narrative or theme, and ways to use personal ephemera to imbed meaning in your work. Students will develop and create several finished collage works based on personal memory. Materials Fee $10, Tools and basic supplies are furnished for the class. Students will receive a list of suggested personal collage items to collect upon registration as well as a few narrative prompts to consider. Deb Rosenbaum is a collage artist, printmaker, and sculptor whose work tells quirky visual stories. She is retired as Visual Art Director at Denver School of the Arts and has taught art for over 35 years. You can view her collage work at debrosenbaum.com

A Denver Native, Deb Rosenbaum is a professional artist with extensive art instruction experience including fifteen years as Visual Arts Director at Denver School of the Arts. Her humorous and quirky work in collage, printmaking, and sculpture reflects her passion for story telling and collecting, combining disparate materials. She currently serves as a Board member and faculty at the Art Students League of Denver.
