Narrative Collage Workshop (2-day workshop on two consecutive weekend days)
What story do you want to tell? We’ll begin our first class with a series of small cut paper compositional studies to learn how art elements and design principles structure and impact visual narrative. We’ll cover various collage techniques and materials in the creation of narrative or theme, and ways to use personal ephemera to imbed meaning in your work. Students will develop and create several finished collage works based on personal memory.
Materials Fee $10, Tools and basic supplies are furnished for the class. Students will receive a list of suggested personal collage items to collect upon registration as well as a few narrative prompts to consider.
