If you struggle with what to make of contemporary art, or want to deepen your experience visiting galleries and museums, this class is for you. This workshop is for those who desire more meaningful interaction with all forms and styles of art. A variety of fun, interactive exercises will help students learn to sharpen viewing skills and learn to “read” visual images, even those with unidentifiable subject matter. We’ll learn about different art media, techniques, and design principles. This is not an art history class, but a foundational study in appreciation skills to help bring you deeper into the world of art. Art is for everyone, and Denver’s vibrant art scene offers a wealth of opportunities, so bring a friend or a partner!
