Learn to paint with wax. We'll use all the encaustic tools: pancake griddles, heat gun and wax pigments to explore the many ways to make beeswax artful. Encaustic is very forgiving, making it accessible to artists of all levels.

  • We use hot tools — griddles and heat guns — that can easily burn if one isn't paying attention. We also use sharp x-acto knives to trim off pieces of pigment blocks.
  • All supplies are included in the materials fee and will be provided at ASLD.
