***A good understanding of working on the potters wheel is strongly suggested for this workshop***

Have you ever made a pot and felt that the handle, spout or anything else that was attached to it didn't help it reach it's full potential? Join Dean Goss in this two day workshop where you will focus on throwing pots from hand rolled slabs, and use various methods of hand building to enhance the design and function. Dean will show some of his tips and tricks that will allow you to replicate thrown objects using non traditional throwing techniques and embellish each piece focusing on hand building.

This is a 4 day class split between two weekends July 13th and 14th, and July 20th, and 21st.

Goss, Dean

I have an MFA from East Carolina University and a BFA from Ohio State University. My love affair with art started in High School. Almost all of my work experience has been related to art: picture framer, cabinet maker, production potter, teacher. This variety of art related work, the desire to continue to learn, and the ability to "think outside the box," has allowed me to be well versed in many ceramic techniques. My current work includes hand-built and wheel-thrown pieces and the continual search for the "perfect" finishing technique.
