Portrait Drawing for Beginners is a comprehensive course designed to introduce aspiring artists to the fundamentals of drawing portraits. Whether you're a complete novice or have some experience with drawing, this course will provide you with essential techniques and strategies to create realistic and expressive portraits.

    • Drawing Paper or Sketchbook
    • Pencils (H, HB, 2B)
    • Eraser (Kneaded eraser recommended)
    • Pencil Sharpener( Olfa® Slimline Knife )
    • Blending Stump or Tortillon
    • Sandpaper block ( 220 )
    • Drawing Board (optional, for better support while drawing)

Born in Iraq, Ali Ghassan Al-Zobaede is a classically trained painter. He was an instructor at Babel University and Al-Koufa University in Iraq. He is the co-founder of the 'Free Atelier Group.' Ali has worked with theatre companies in Iraq to design and build set designs. Ali teaches private lessons in painting and drawing. At ASLD, he teaches workshops in sculpture, painting and drawing.
