In painting a single bloom to a complex garden shot-you will learn how to capture the expression of the flowers form and movement. Using a wet on wet technique ; you will also learn how to keep your paints from getting muddy. Learn what makes a strong composition and possibly even take an abstract approach to your painting. I'll be doing a demo and will have a lot of floral reference to choose from.

  • Strong composition, Keeping your colors clean, having fun painting flowers in oil.
  • Please bring your oil paints/oderless turpentine , pallet, brushes, rags and a canvas.

I’m a Colorado native, and love the beauty of this state. I feel I’ve been drawing, painting, and creating, all my life. I studied Fine Art and Graphic Design at CSU, Fort Collins. Also studied abstract watercolor at Red Rocks college. I feel that my strong design sense in my approach to my painting, comes from over 25 years as a graphic designer. I truly believe that we are all creative souls, and that its so important to express that creativity in a non judgemental way; thus enjoying the process and growing from it.
