BookWork Clinic January
Adult Course | Registration opens 12/3/2024 7:00 AM MST
Join our monthly artists' book workshop, curated for creatives seeking a collaborative space to nurture and refine their projects. Guided by the experienced instructor Rhiannon Alpers, participants have the chance to bring their new or unfinished ventures for constructive exploration. The session kicks off with an optional prompt to ignite inspiration, followed by dedicated studio time in a well-equipped environment. This valuable period allows for hands-on work across all facets of artists' book creation, encompassing everything from model development and construction to binding techniques, as well as engaging in narrative and imagery explorations.
Receive supportive feedback on your ongoing projects and concepts from both the instructor and fellow participants, fostering a dynamic and enriching creative community. Don't miss this opportunity to delve into the world of artists' books, where ideas flourish, and artistic visions come to life.
Please note: this is not a soley instructional binding workshop, students should plan to bring their starting ideas, sketches or models and materials with them to work somewhat independently. All levels are welcome.
- A minimal toolset is available (pencil, ruler, scissors, Xacto or snap blade knife, bone folder, awl) but paper and other materials should be brought to the course.
