Here we will explore drawing processes like contour, cross hatching and pointillism to add depth and feeling to your process and flow.
Class will include:
Intro/ short discussion on visual storytelling and expressing feeling through line texture and shading.
Description and short explanation of the tools we use (the what, the how, the why).
Short discussion on gesture drawing- examples and practice
Short discussion on contour, processes, tools- examples and practice
Short discussion on crosshatching for shading, texture and depth of shape and size- examples and practice
Short discussion on pointillism/stippling examples with different tools and mediums- examples and practice
Short discussion on portraits and dimensions of the human body and face, using the different techniques- examples and practice Short discussion on landscapes and perspective, light and vanishing points and applying the techniques- examples and practice
- Learning Objectives: By the end of this course, one should feel comfortable with the techniques learned and excited to explore drawing on their own.
