Creative Sewing AM
Adult Course | Registration opens 3/4/2025 7:00 AM MST
Work on individual new or unfinished projects under the supervision of a qualified sewing instructor using sewing machines, sergers and/or computer embroidery machines. This is unstructured lab time where you can be productive and creative to make clothing, alterations, home projects or gifts. Students need to bring materials and supplies to the first class. Beginners are welcome.
- Learning objectives:
The student will be able to operate the sewing machines and sergers, including the industrial sewing machines and use sewing notions correctly. The student will be able to ask the instructor for guidance to be able to complete individual projects including, but not limited to, "art to wear", clothing alternations, fitting and pattern alternations, costumes, garments, repurposing clothing, mending and repairs, machine embroidery, quilting, gifts, outdoor clothing and equipment, backpacks, purses and totes.
- Students are asked to bring in their own projects that they would like to start working on, or have already begun.
