KA Summer Camp | This class is completed

Let's learn sewing skills and use our imagination to craft some stuffed creatures! We will learn how to transform a 2-D image into a 3-D form, some beginning pattern drafting skills, and how to add embellishments to our new fiber friends. Our first class will cover hand-sewing basics, some embroidery, button sewing, and how to join fabric pieces. For anyone interested, we will include basic machine sewing skills in our first project before moving on to our final plush pal. We will then spend some time drawing possible ideas. These images will be transformed into our patterns, that will become stuffed creatures! Students will spend the remainder of their time decorating and constructing their creations as they see fit.

  • No formal sewing skills required. Beginning focused but any and all skill levels are welcome. We will primarily be using hand sewing techniques.
  • All supplies are included in the materials fee and will be provided at ASLD.
